Know the moment AI can't read your site.
ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity can only cite pages their crawlers can fetch and read. Monitor checks your key pages every day the way those crawlers see them, and tells you within a day when a robots.txt edit, a firewall rule or a deploy shuts them out.
A daily check of what AI crawlers can actually reach
Getting cited by AI starts with access. If OAI-SearchBot can't fetch your pricing page, ChatGPT search can't quote it, however good the page is. Without a daily check, you tend to find out the slow way, when mentions and AI referrals have already dropped. Monitor shortens that to one day.
AI access breaks quietly, and nobody gets an error
In our study of 261 major websites, 21% blocked at least one AI search crawler in robots.txt. Some of those blocks are deliberate. Others are what's left when a file gets a rule for one bot and nobody touches it again.
A bot setting changes
Bot protection on a CDN or WAF starts challenging AI agents after a plan change or a new rule. Browsers still load the site, so nobody on the team notices.
One pasted snippet
A developer adds a "block AI bots" list to stop training crawlers and blocks the search agents with it, the ones that decide whether you get cited.
A release ships a regression
A new template carries noindex from staging, moves copy behind JavaScript or drops the JSON-LD. Vercel's crawler analysis found the major AI crawlers don't render JavaScript, so that copy disappears for them.
Six checks, every day
Each check is compared with the day before, so alerts cover what changed since yesterday.
Rules for 18 AI agents
Parsed to RFC 9309 for every key page, with search, user-fetch and training agents kept apart. See the AI crawler directory for what each one does.
CDN and WAF blocks
Your homepage is requested as 7 OpenAI, Anthropic and Perplexity agents and compared with a normal browser. A 403 or challenge that only bots get is flagged.
Breaks on key pages
Status codes, new redirects, noindex in meta tags or X-Robots-Tag headers, and canonical changes on up to 100 pages taken from your sitemap.
Copy AI can't see
Words in the raw HTML, counted per page. You get an alert when a page turns into an empty app shell or loses more than half its text.
Schema and llms.txt
JSON-LD types on every key page, an alert when a type disappears, and whether your llms.txt still loads.
Real AI visits
Optional. Connect logs to see which pages ChatGPT-User, Claude-User and Perplexity-User fetch for real people, and get an alert when an AI search or user agent that visited regularly goes quiet for three days.
Teams whose pipeline depends on being cited
B2B marketing and SEO leads
You're investing in GEO and AI visibility and need to know the pages you're optimizing can still be fetched. Monitor is the smoke alarm under that work.
GEO, SEO and web agencies
Ten client sites on one plan, a separate alert email or Slack channel per client, and a Monday report you can forward. Catch the client's deploy before the client catches the drop.
Developers who own the CDN
Find out when a firewall rule, cache setting or release blocks AI agents, with the agent, the page and the status code named in the alert.
Built for one job the other tools skip
Prompt trackers measure the outcome. CDN dashboards count bot traffic. Neither tells you which page broke for which agent today, and why.

Every alert names the cause
Which agent, which page and what changed: a status code, a robots.txt block, a noindex tag or a missing schema type. Your developer knows where to look.
Spoofed bots are dropped
OpenAI and Perplexity visits are matched to the IP lists those companies publish. Fake GPTBot traffic never reaches your charts.
Same method as our studies
Monitor automates the access checks from our GEO audit checklist and the method behind our crawler research, and runs them daily instead of once.
One number, every point explained
Your site gets a score out of 100. It moves only when something real changes, and the breakdown shows exactly where points were lost.
Live in two minutes
Add your domain
Monitor maps up to 100 key pages from your sitemap, putting pricing, product and comparison pages first.
Get a baseline
The first check scores your site and lists anything already broken.
Daily rechecks
Every page is checked again every 24 hours and compared with the day before.
Alerts and a weekly report
Critical changes and warnings go to email or Slack right away. Minor changes wait for a Monday report.

Frequently asked questions
What is AI Ranked Monitor?
AI Ranked Monitor is software that checks up to 100 key pages on your site every day the way AI crawlers from OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity and 8 other companies see them. It alerts you by email or Slack when a robots.txt rule, firewall setting, noindex tag or deploy stops those crawlers from reading a page. Pro costs $99 a month.
How is this different from an AI visibility or rank tracking tool?
Rank trackers run prompts and report whether AI answers mention your brand. Monitor checks the step before that: whether AI crawlers can reach and read the pages they would cite. A tracker can only show mentions falling once a block has already taken effect. Monitor flags the block itself within a day. It doesn't run prompts or track rankings.
Does it need a developer to set up?
No. Daily monitoring works from the outside, the way a crawler does, so you only enter your domain. Seeing real AI bot visits is optional and takes one snippet for Cloudflare, Next.js, WordPress or Node. A developer can paste it in about two minutes.
Which AI crawlers does it check?
It reads your robots.txt rules for 18 AI user agents in three groups: search agents (OAI-SearchBot, Claude-SearchBot, PerplexityBot and others), user fetchers (ChatGPT-User, Claude-User, Perplexity-User and others) and training crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, CCBot and others). It also requests your homepage as 7 major OpenAI, Anthropic and Perplexity agents to catch firewall blocks.
How do you know a bot visit is real?
Anyone can fake a user agent. For OpenAI and Perplexity agents, Monitor checks each visit's IP address against the IP lists those companies publish and drops visits that don't match. Visits from other agents are still counted, without the verified label.
What happens after the free trial?
The trial runs 14 days with no card. When it ends, monitoring pauses and your data stays. Choose Pro at $99 a month for one site or Agency at $199 a month for 10 sites to resume. Plans are month to month.
